Sleep apnea can be considered a nuisance for a person who is suffering from it. The individual is denied of a quality sleep that is required to deal with the daily chores of modern life. It is a progressive sleep disorder in which a person frequently stops breathing during his or her sleep. These regular interruptions arouse the person from sleep and they restart breathing only after waking from the sleeping state. The duration for which the person stops breathing is known as apnea and it is a continuous process. Sleep apnea solutions are available to cure this disease. Sleep apnea is found in three forms. These are the following:

  1. Obstructive It is most commonly found among people. It is caused by a disruption within the airways. The effort of the respiratory system is of no help in this form of apnea.
  2. Complex or Mixed
  3. Central It is very rare among individuals. This type of sleep apnea is caused by errors in brain signals. The lungs do not receive signals of breathing clearly and thus the person stops breathing.
The individual suffering from this sleeping disorder needs to opt for sleep apnea solutions as quickly as possible or it may affect the physical and mental condition of the sufferer. The conditions, in fact, will continuously deteriorate if not treated within time. The damages caused by this disorder can be very severe and at a serious level, it can lead to a person's death. Thus it is recommended that you should consult a doctor as soon as you get to detect symptoms of sleep apnea.

Remedies to Cure Sleep Apnea

There are various sleep apnea solutionsto help you get rid of this sleep disorder. The most common solution is the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). This treatment is done with the help of a mask like device that is worn by the patient during his or her sleep. This mask like device helps to prevent the collapse of airway through the pressurized air. Patients feel this device is very uncomfortable and difficult to wear. Considering patients' complaint a few changes were made to help the patients get a comfortable treatment.

An internal regulator is introduced to adjust the pressure inside the device and bi-level PAP has been added so that the changes can be made from higher air pressure to lower air pressure during exhalation. The patients feel easier to breathe with this addition. The device has been even made quieter and lighter to wear to get sleep apnea solutions .

The Continuous Positive Airway Pressure is a treatment that only cures obstructive sleep apnea with the device that prevents the tongue from becoming an obstruction to the air ducts. Therefore, it is not the solution for the other two forms of apnea. Surgery is one of the other sleep apnea solutions to cure obstructive apnea. Behavioral adjustment can also be utilized to cure this kind of apnea.

Central Sleep Apnea is mainly treated through medications but in some cases, help is taken from the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure device to continue normal breath. Sleeping on one's side is also one effective remedy for sleep apnea disorder.
